Glance over:- Release date:Nov 29, 2025【Big In Small

On November 3, SAION’s subsidiary, E-Future Motors Philippines,

formally handed over 30 electric jeepneys to the Perzo Transport

Cooperative during a ceremony in Manila, marking the operational

rollout of the JOM program.

he event represents a significant milestone for SAION Auto Ltd.,

showcasingits concrete progress in advancing eco-friendly public

mobility solutions in Southeast Asia. The company expects the

JOM framework to serve as a catalyst for rapid expansion of

electric transport initiatives throughout the region.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from major

Philippine government bodies and partner organizations, including

the City Government of General Trias, the Department of

Transportation (DOTr), the Land Transportation Franchising and

Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 4A, the Cooperative Development

Authority (CDA) and its regional office, and the Office of Transportation

Cooperatives (OTC). Strong support from private-sector and

non-government groups—including AC Mobility, Clean Air Asia, the

Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), and the Clean and

Efficient Energy Development Association (CAEDA)—highlighted the

broad consensus behind advancing electric mobility.

Officials explained that the core of the JOM initiative lies in its full-service

ecosystem for electric vehicle operations. Under this model, SAION Auto

Ltd. will not only supply the electric jeepneys but also provide charging

infrastructure, professional maintenance, and operational management

services to the cooperative. This approach effectively addresses one of the

major obstacles transport cooperatives face when shifting to electric fleets:

the heavy burden of upfront capital investment. With this barrier removed,

previously stalled modernization projects are expected to gain momentum.

The transition to electric jeepneys is projected to significantly

reduce emissions and air pollution caused by diesel vehicles, aligning with

national strategies for clean air and sustainable urban development. Leveraging

its locally optimized vehicle designs and technological strengths, SAION Auto Ltd.

aims to deliver green mobility solutions tailored to the Southeast Asian market

and accelerate the region’s shift toward low-carbon, intelligent transportation

systems.A companyrepresentative stated that the successful delivery of the first

30 units marks a pivotal step in SAION Auto Ltd.’s broader Southeast Asian

expansion. The firm plans to position the Philippines as a strategic hub while

diversifying its product lineup to include electric public transport and logistics

vehicles. SAION Auto Ltd. will also strengthen collaboration with local governments,

cooperatives, and industry partners to advance the adoption of electric mobility

solutions. Ultimately, the company aims to help build a clean, efficient,

and interconnected transportation ecosystem across Southeast Asia.
